You may be asking yourself. How do you
pronounce this guys last name? It's
Nay^sun [of unknown origin.] Yes it's spelled
strangely or atleast redundantly. It got made
up at Ellis Island. The Arthur Part, I was
named after my Grandfather who I
unfortunately never got to meet. While I have
toyed with the various truncations
[Arty,Art,the list goes on indefinately]
of Arthur, I prefer to be addressed
by my full name and find it somewhat offensive
if upon being introduced as Arthur someone
immediately says. Nice to meet you Art. This
seems to happen most when I'm in Los
Angeles. Why the good people of southern
california can't get it together to complete
a person's name is a social shortcoming that
clearly needs to be addressed [Dude]. On the
other hand when I go to New York and am
greeted by someone with a local accent it
sounds like Author and I am suddenly elevated
[in my mind anyway] to some rarified literary
stature. I hope this has been illuminating.
